I am Jose Luis Berasaluce, a 31-year-old individual of Basque and Brazilian descent. My journey with surfing began at the tender age of 3, under the guidance of my father at his surf school in Praia do Rosa, Brazil. At the age of 10, I witnessed the renowned Oxbow 2000, a highlight of the world longboard circuit, on my local beach. The final showdown between surfers Joel Tudor and Beau Young left an indelible impression on me, igniting my fascination with classic surf style and maneuvers.

EXPERIENCE

At 12, I commenced assisting my father at his surf school, a role that has since evolved, with students spanning the globe. My extensive experience has seen me share insights and techniques with surfers and institutions worldwide. Now, I aim to enhance your surfing prowess with a distinctive methodology rooted in genuine surf culture. Throughout my career, I’ve not only competed on the international stage but also nurtured national champions through my role as an instructor and coach.
